18 Nov A Heightened Sense of Tree
Recently Ive been turning me ears more acutely towards tree’s.
Via a R&D project A Heightened Sense Of Tree. AHSOT with Vertical dancer & Choreographer Lindsey Butcher (Gravity & Levity). One of the joys of this collaboration has been sharing the rigging and perspectives of our art-forms and being hoisted 30’ up into the canopy of a glorious huge ancient old oak.
I love finding new perspectives in sound and this was certainly a new one. Couldn’t get me down!
One of the things I’ve been listening too more amidst lockdown and The #Diasonix Experiment has been Psithurism – The sound of wind in tree’s – or wind giving voice to the tree’s & vice versa.
